How we'll keep you COVID-safe this harvest
Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, we’ve proactively reviewed our processes to keep you and your business safe this harvest, while minimising any impacts on our site efficiencies.
This harvest, a revised delivery process will be enforced across our east coast network to reduce human contact.
Almost all delivery functions are now contact-free but the integrity of our commitment to quality service has been maintained.
GrainCorp’s advanced contact-free technology platforms – FastWeigh for grain sampling and receival and CropConnect for digital transactions – are central to the revised plan, as are the changes to existing practises.
(Learn about CropConnect with our How-To videos here.)
The following processes are effective immediately at all GrainCorp receival sites:
1. MINIMISING MOVEMENT OF ALL GRAINCORP STAFF AND CUSTOMERS AT ALL TIMES
This includes (but not limited to) no access inside our sample stands and weighbridges.
We are particularly aiming to minimise movement of truck drivers on our sites.
Social distancing and hygiene measures will be enforced as standard practice at all sites.
2. USE OF THE UPDATED DELIVERY ADVICE FORM
An updated Delivery Advice form can be found here.
The Delivery Advice form must be used for:
a) Every delivered load to site, and;
b) Every sample to be tested.
Samples will need to be provided to GrainCorp in zip-lock bags.
We will test the sample and call or text you with results.
Please note: The Delivery Advice will be not be returned after use.
3. NO OPTION TO SELECT CASH OR TRANSFER GRAIN TO CONTRACTS AT SAMPLE STANDS OR WEIGHBRIDGES
All deliveries will be placed into warehousing and transferred via CropConnect or the Grower Hotline
(1800 GRAINS).
We will still collect NGR, paddock details, treatment status and Vendor Declarations at the sample stand or weighbridge and maintain active ‘live’ prices at our sites.
4. NO TRANSFER OF CLIPBOARDS AROUND THE SITE WITH DRIVERS
Any paperwork required will not be handed back or signed. The size of text on paperwork will be increased to assist in reading from a distance.
If you have any questions, please contact your local Site Manager or Grain Marketer, or call the Grower Hotline on 1800 GRAINS.
